I was lucky to have spent my first 8 years near a forest. Birch sap in spring, barbeque in sun-floated white birch forest and skiing along the forest in winter. Nature was my first love. Art became my second.
I want to hand over a healthy planet to our children. Therefore, I want my art to give more to nature than it takes from it. My original artworks, edition prints as well as the Portrait Letter Club directly support re-forestation with 1 to 100 trees.

Letters that plant trees
Every envelope also plants a tree.
For each letter I mail, I fund the planting of one tree through carefully chosen reforestation projects. For every full year you’re in the club, that means 12 trees per member – one for every month I write to you.
When this tier is full at 1,000 members, we’ll be planting 1,000 trees every month – 12,000 trees every year – a small forest growing quietly alongside this club.
Studio work should not cost the earth; I’m a tree-hugger at heart and will choose a new location each year so every cycle of letters grows its own little forest.
