Tulips diptychon by Atlanta Weiss

For this series I was inspired by the Old Masters such as Abraham Mignon and Abraham Brueghel the Elder. Going into history of this flower (1600s), it blows your mind how much influence it has had on our stock market system. For ONE single onion of a tulip (Semper Augustus) one could buy a house in the best location in Amsterdam. And we still live in the after-effect of the very first recorded market crash, that this flower caused.
